What you get

Two different things, for two different situations

A pay button on your website

Services with a fixed price get a "Pay online" button. People click and pay by card, right on the page. Good for anything you sell at a clear price: a consultation, a package, a membership paid in one go.

A QR code for on-the-spot payment

You're at the customer's place, you type the amount on your phone - 250 lei - and a code appears on the screen. The customer scans it with their own phone and pays. No device, no paper, no "I'll send you the invoice tomorrow". It's an everyday situation for a tradesperson.

Payment link

If the person isn't in front of you - send it by WhatsApp or email and they pay from wherever they are.

In lei or in euros

Whichever suits you.

The money goes into your account

Straight from your customer. The account is yours, opened in your company's name with Stripe (the payment processor we use), the key stays with you, and we can't see it anymore once you've saved it.

What it looks like

The payment screen, on your phone: the amount you typed and the code that appears underneath, in front of the client. And the "Pay online" button on a fixed-price service, on the website.

Why it isn't a card terminal

  • The money is yours from the very first leu. We connect your own payment account; the payment goes from your client straight there. We're not a middleman and we don't take a commission on what you collect. The only cost per transaction is the payment processor's, exactly as with any card payment.
  • No device and no terminal subscription. A bank card terminal comes with a monthly cost, a device to carry around and a contract. Here you need the phone already in your pocket.
  • One-time payment. €69 once, not month after month. No subscription comes with it - not even maintenance.
  • The key is stored encrypted, and nobody sees it again. Not even us: once you save it, only the last four characters are shown.

What it doesn't do - said now, not after you pay

  • It's not an online shop. No cart with multiple products, customer accounts, stock or shipping - those need inventory, couriers and returns, meaning a different kind of product, with different upkeep. Here you pay for one thing, at one price. If you need a shop, you need a shop platform, and we're telling you now, not after you've paid.
  • It doesn't take payment by tapping a card on your phone. The client scans the code with their phone and pays from there. We don't turn your phone into a terminal.
  • It doesn't collect monthly subscriptions from your clients. A payment is a payment; we don't store cards to charge them monthly.
  • You see the payments in your account at the processor, not in the WebID admin panel. That's where the amounts, receipts and any refunds are.
  • The processor's fee stays. We don't add anything on top of it, but we can't remove it either - it's the cost of card payments, anywhere.

Questions

Before you decide

Does the money really go straight to me?
Yes. The payment account is yours, and payments go from your clients straight there. We don't hold your money for a single second and we don't take a commission on it.
What account do I need?
A Stripe account, opened in your company's name. You open it yourself, in your name, and we tell you exactly what to prepare and connect it to the website. The key is saved encrypted and never shown again - you only see the last four characters.
Do I need a card terminal or any device?
No. The button is on the website, and for payment on the spot the client scans a code from your screen, with their own phone. All you need is your phone.
What fee is taken?
Only the processor's, exactly as with any card payment. WebID adds nothing on top.
What if the client prefers cash?
They pay cash, of course. Card payment is an extra way to pay, not a replacement for the others - and often it's exactly what saves you a second trip.
Can I sell several products at once, with a cart?
No, and it's written above, under what it doesn't do. Here you pay for one thing, at a fixed price - or an amount you type in, on the spot.
