€649, that is ≈ 3,400 lei + VAT. How fast it pays for itself depends on how many bookings you manage to move to direct: move a third and you save 300 lei a month, so it's covered in about eleven months; move half and it's about eight. Not all of them go direct - and that's the math that counts, not the one where the platforms disappear.

Questions from a guesthouse
Do I give up Booking.com if I get a website?
Not necessarily - lots of people use both. The platform brings you new guests; the website keeps your returning guests close, with no commission. Ideally you have both, but don't depend on the platform alone.
How does a guest book on my website?
They see which rooms are free for the dates they want, choose their arrival and departure dates and book directly on the website. You get the booking, with all the details, in your admin panel.
How much do you take from bookings?
Nothing. Bookings made through your website carry no commission - the full amount of the stay stays with you. That's the whole idea: on the platforms you give up 15-18%, on your own website, zero.
Can I change prices during the season?
Yes, from an admin panel in English or Romanian, on your phone. Every save keeps a previous version, so you can go back anytime.
How long until I have the website?
You see the example with your name on it right away. The website with your own texts is ready within a few hours of us receiving your materials. Once you're happy with it and we publish it, you're usually live the same day - 48 hours at most, depending on the domain.
